Greek food is considered one of the most healthy and delicious types of Mediterranean cooking, as it is based on fresh and natural ingredients. The food varies depending on the region of Greece. In the Ionian Islands you can discover recipes with unique flavours and especially Corfiot cuisine, which is a tasteful combination of Greek and Venetian dishes.
Kalami Beach Taverna and Bar is a family business and since 1980 has welcomed all international visitors and locals introducing them to traditional home-cooked food.
 We strongly believe that Greek cuisine is synonymous to the indulgence of the extraordinary flavour and taste that the traditional recipes offer to the gourmand.
Our cooking is based in our labour of love, the experience and the quality of natural ingredients and fresh products. For that reason, in Yaliskari, an unexploited and picturesque bay between Kalami and Agni, we have created a garden, which we expand it year after year for the tavernas demands in vegetables.
During the winter, we collect the olives from 500 olive trees for the olive oil production, necessary for the cooking and consuming it in salads. Every day our fishing boat (with a capability of 5000 m of fishing nets) supplies the taverna with fresh fish from the crystal waters of Ionian Sea. Concerning the meat, in daily basis, we buy fresh meat from the butcher shop.
The last addition for a successful cuisine is the love and the knowledge of transforming a simple recipe to a delicious dish. There are two experienced people in the kitchen, mum Frosso and our chef Tim, who complete each other and offer a tasteful meal.
Our purpose is to offer the very best to our customers. Our friendly staff is always happy to serve you and help you to have an enjoyable meal.
We welcome you to the taverna, to taste our homemade specialities accompanied by a glass of velvety wine or a drink of your preference, in a relaxing environment under the refreshing green full pergola. Enjoy the scenery of the bay with the moonlight shining on the sea, whilst you hear the sound of waves.

Quick Driving instructions
As you drive on the main road to the northern Corfu, you will find on your right hand a crossroad and the sign “Kalami – Kouloura”. You turn right and follow the road all the way down, turn right on the bottom and this road will lead in Kalami village. As you enter the village of Kalami, you will find on your left hand an open and private parking area available for the tavernas customers. Within 20m you will be at Kalami Beach Taverna and Bar.

Kalami Beach Taverna - Bar is ideally located in the most beautiful and picturesque part of Corfu, the village of Kalami, in the northeast coast of the island. Kalami is 30 km far from Corfu Town and 8 km before the famous Kassiopi.
We are open every day serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks from early morning, throughout the day till late evening.
We organise wedding and engagement receptions, birthday parties and anniversaries.
Our Menu
We daily prepare the tastiest of dishes to suit all preferences, for your lunch or evening meal, you can choose from our extensive menu of meat, fish or vegetarian dishes.
 Begin your meal with some of our mouth-watering hot or cold starters, and accompany them with a glass of wine or beer. Do not forget to sample tzatziki or olive pate, the tasty briam, baked feta cheese, village sausage and for those who enjoy sea food, we suggest taramosalata, octopus in vinegar, prawns or mussels saganaki and white bait or sardines.
To accompany your main course, a salad is always a healthy and tasteful dish. The Greek salad is the most popular and boiled vegetables with olive oil and lemon are served ideally with fishmeals.
For meat lovers, we would recommend that you follow on with the most famous Greek dishes of “Lamb Kleftiko” or “Stifado”, which are very popular with our repeat customers, or we offer traditional Corfiot dishes, such as, Cockerel Pastitsatha, Sofrito and Stifado. Tender fillet steak grilled to perfection is always another option; enjoy it cooked in its own juices or with one of our special sauces.
 Fish and Seafood lovers will thoroughly enjoy the wide variety of fresh fish that is caught daily by George. Every day George will search the Ionian on his fishing boat “Nikolakis”, for the best quality fish and seafood, which you can enjoy, grilled.
Alternatively, you can enjoy the fish prepared using traditional Corfiot recipes such as “Bourtheto” or “Bianco” or for an extra special meal with seafood try “Lobster Pastitsatha”. Lobster Pastitsatha, as well as Scorpion Fish Bourtheto are the most popular dishes.
To add an extra special flavour, we have personally selected wines, of different varieties of grapes, which are harvested from the vineyards around Greece and offer you an excellent selection of Greek red, white and rose wines. To compliment a traditional Corfiot meal the house wine is the best choice you can make.
A perfect meal is never complete without a good dessert. We have traditional Greek sweets, such as “Baklava” and “Kadaifi”, yoghurt and honey or sorbets are some of the delicious desserts on the menu, which can ideally be finished off with a coffee and brandy of your choice.
If you just fancy a drink, then we have a fantastic array of drinks for you. Beers, wines, spirits, cocktails, juices and soft drinks are just a few of the drinks you can choose from.
After your meal, relax and enjoy the marvellous views. The Taverna is ideally situated on the beach, you have the whole of the horseshoe –shaped Kalami, Albania and the South part of Corfu Island laid out in front of you. What more could you ask for!!
Who are we?
Dimitris is working on vegetating his land to provide the fresh fruit and vegetables for the taverna. You may see him in his small boat, whilst fishing with nets for white bait and sardines.
Frosso is still the heart of the kitchen. For 25 years she offers the most delicious dishes prepared with the knowledge and the love of typical Greek traditional cooking.
Nikos continues to successfully run the family taverna and upholds the family values of offering the widest choice of excellent home-cooked food at reasonable prices.
Giorgos is a skilled fisherman, who contributes by supplying fresh fish to the taverna every day.
